Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kigali City tour
Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about your 6 days Rwanda tour. You will embark on a city tour around Kigali.
Visit the Genocide Memorial Museum and Nyamatta Church. You will also visit the local markets, and interact with the local members of the community. Lunch will be at any hotel within the city. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Akagera National Park.
The journey will take you through rolling hills and lush green vegetation.
Upon arrival, have lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Lake Ihema
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Akagera National Park. This is Rwanda’s only savannah park. It is famous for being home to the big five animals namely; elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. You will meet other animal species like warthogs, zebras, giraffes, and hippos. The park is also a reliable destination for birding. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will embark on the boat cruise at Lake Ihema. This will give you scenic views of the surrounding areas. You will also meet crocodiles and hippos. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Volcanoes National Park.
The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Volcanoes National Park is home to over 200 bird species as well as several primates. Lunch will be en route. Upon arrival, check in to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, you will then go to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track. Enter the forests and search for mountain gorillas. Upon encounter with the gorillas, you will spend one hour in their presence. You will also see several primates like colobus monkeys and many bird species. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village and transfer to Kigali – Departure
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a visit to one of Rwanda’s great cultures. The Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village offers travelers a different and unique perception of African cultures. From their hospitality to creativity, Rwandese is a great experience to encounter on a Rwanda tour. Spend time in their presence as you learn weaving baskets, dancing, brewing, making crafts, etc.
Continue to Kigali with an en-route lunch. The driver will drop you off at the Kigali International Airport for an outbound flight. This marks the end of your 6 days Rwanda Tour.
