Overview
Begin the safari from Kigali and head to Volcanoes National Park home to both mountain gorillas and golden monkeys the unique primates. On the second day, embark on the golden monkey trekking in the jungle where you spend an hour in the presence taking memorable photos. Again on this day, have an optional activity of visiting Iby’Iwacu Cultural village. On the last day, head back to Kigali and have an enroute visit of the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Pick up from Kigali and head to Volcanoes National Park
The driver guide of our company will pick you up from the agreed point maybe a Hotel/airport in Kigali the capital city of Rwanda. As you make a drive to the park, be briefed about this amazing tour and Volcanoes National Park as a destination. Arrive and be taken to the lodge for dinner.
Day2. Golden monkey trekking and optional activity
Wake up early and have your breakfast which will be followed by a drive to the park offices where you receive a briefing about this morning activity. Be emphasized to use the flash light camera while taking photos, don’t feed wildlife, always keep distance, carry enough drinking water and energy give snacks, and more.
Begin the trek as you pass through the jungle with a high chances of spotting gorillas since it’s a gorilla territory. Spending an hour with the golden monkeys is very rewarding since these beautiful creatures are so playful while jumping from one tree to another. Head back to the lodge for lunch and optional activities like visiting the Ibyiwachu cultural village.
Day3. Head back to Kigali
Head back to Kigali with a visit to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Here take part in a short canoe ride where you get a chance to explore the beauty of these lakes. Proceed and be dropped at the airport to mark the end of the safari.
