The 8 days Tanzania Migration Safari is the perfect option to see great migration during the months of July to October. This safari takes you to 3 most visited national parks in Tanzania which are Tarangire, Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation Area. The main goal of this safari is witnessing wildebeest migration but it’s a combination of all big five animals (Lion, leopard, rhino, elephants and buffalo).
Game drives will be the main activity but also hot air balloon safari will be included on this great memorable tour. The tour will begin from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, through Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater and climaxes at Kilimanjaro international Airport.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
The driver guide of our company will pick you from the airport and take an optional city tour in Arusha to visit local markets, historical areas l, religious sites like churches and more. Later transfer to the hotel booked for your accommodation.
Day 2: To Tarangire National Park, game drive
Have breakfast and travel to Tarangire National Park which is known for the big groups of elephants and huge amount of giant baobab trees.
This park gets its name from Tarangire river which is the main source of water for animals in the park.
The journey takes about 2 hours’ drive but very interesting and rewarding. Arrive and take park in the game drive where you expect to meet animals like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, hyenas, warthogs, elands, elephants and more. Head to the lodge booked for overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park
Begin the day with breakfast which will be followed by game drive still in Tarangire plains to spot missed animals.
Later, begin the drive to Serengeti National Park a home to the big five animals and also known for hosting the annual wildebeest migration in millions.
The journey is amazing and which creates everlasting memories.
Depending on the arrival time, take an evening game drive where you expect to meet lions, jackals, elephants, buffalos, Hyenas and more. Head to the lodge for your dinner and Nights stay.
Day 4-5: Serengeti game drives (safari, hot air balloon ride, cultural tour, etc.)
Spend these memorable 2 days in Serengeti plains taking part in two main activities which are hot air balloon safari and game drives.
The hot air balloon safari rewards you with an aerial view of the park allowing you to capture panoramic photographs. Be rewarded with incredible animal sightings – Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard, Wildebeest, Giraffe and more.
Have a chance to witness the annual wildebeest migration which is one of the world’s wonders. The wildebeests move in millions together with thousands of zebras. Another great and memorable moments will be sun downers, bush breakfast, picnic lunch and more.
Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Leave to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast where you encounter different animals.
This area is covered with crater lakes, rivers, forest, highlands, savannah grasslands and woodlands. Animals cross to and from between Serengeti National Park and Masai Mara national reserve through this area.
Arrive and take an evening view of the surrounding at one of the hill top.
Day 7: Full day in Ngorongoro crater
Take a full day game drive in the park where you expect to meet animals like African leopards, black rhinos, buffaloes, cheetahs, crocodiles, East African wild dogs, elands, grant’s gazelles, zebras, hippopotamus, impalas, lions, oribis, Thomson’s gazelles, topis and Wildebeests, etc. Great photographic points targeting sunrise and sun set and more.
Day 8: Fly back home from Kilimanjaro International Airport
Have the last game drive to enjoy wildlife which will be followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro international Airport. Board your flight back home and this will mark the end of your 8 days Tanzania migration safari.
