Overview
Rafting and bungee jumping activities are believed to be done or practiced only in Jinja in the whole of Uganda. Jinja is a District situated in the Eastern region of Uganda. All these activities take place on the River Nile.
Rafting experience has grades/levels which start from level 1 to grade 5 therefore, you will enjoy this experience depending on your choice. In other words, still on your way, you will have a chance to spot some primates in the Mabira forest, view sugar cane plantations, tea, and very many other interesting things.
Despite the mentioned, you will have several stopovers along the way to buy roadside foodstuffs for example, roasted sweet bananas well known as Gonja, chicken, and many others. The safari will rotate between Kampala and Jinja city till the end.
Detailed information
Day 1. Arrival and transfer to Jinja city, optional activity.
Upon your arrival, the safari driver guide will be ready to pick you up, give you a quick briefing about the safari then later set off for the journey heading to Jinja Adventure City. Check in with the booked lodge and depending on the time you can opt to do a short city tour around Jinja or relax for the next day’s activity.
Day 2. White water rafting, relax/visit the source of River Nile.
Have your early breakfast in the morning, and head to the starting point where you will meet the site guide for a briefing about the activity. The activity takes about 6 to 8 hours depending on how much you will see/enjoy. You will raft up to where the longest River starts from, the River Nile. This activity has levels therefore; you choose the level depending on how brave you are. Be assured that the rescue team is always available in case of anything.
Drive back to the lodge for late lunch then in the afternoon, you can opt to relax or visit the source of the Nile for the great adventure. Take photos for remembrance and ask your guide to learn and understand more.
Day 3. Bungee Jumping, drive back to Kampala
Arise early morning from your sweet warm bed and have your well-prepared breakfast then drive to the starting point for the last amazing adventure the bungee jumping during your 3 day safari. During this activity, you will jump from a height of 45 meters and dive into Nile waters.
The boat will be ready to rescue you the moment you land down and help you to cross the Nile. You will explore numerous creatures that are interesting such as birds, primates, beautiful sceneries, and many others.
After driving back to the lodge for lunch then later check out and embark on your journey to Kampala. Be dropped off at the agreed location by your safari driver guide.
