Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour
Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your lodge, you will meet our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about your 12 days Explore Uganda safari. You will take on amazing Kampala city tour.
Visit local markets, Kasubi royal tombs, Buganda kingdom palace, Bahai temple, etc. Lunch will be at any hotel in Kampala.
In the evenning, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
You will enjoy an epic Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Lunch will be at a hotel in Masindi. Continue to the park and check in to your lodge upon arrival for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls
After breakfast, go for an amazing game drive in Murchison Falls National Park.
You will encounter the Big 4 animals namely; elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo.
The park is also home to multiple bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go to River Nile for a boat cruise. The cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls. You will see schools of hippos as well as Nile crocodiles. You will hike to the top of Murchison Falls for an extraordinary experience. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Kibale National Park. Lunch will be en-route.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Kibale National Park also known as the Primate Capital of the world. The park harbors multiple primates as well as birds.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk
After breakfast, you will go to the Visitors’ center for chimp tracking. After briefing, you will enter the forests in search of the chimps.
Upon encountering the chimps, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland. This is a reliable birding destination. It is also a chance to interact with the local members of the community. In the evening, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Crater lake tours, Amabere caves and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and go for crater lake tours. Visit top of the world and Amabere Ga’nyinamwiru caves.
Have lunch and continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda’s most popular national Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will meet animals like elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, gazelles, etc. Visit the Katwe salt mining area. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. You will encounter many birds, hippos and Nile crocodiles. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and go for a game drive in the Ishasha sector. You will encounter the rare tree-climbing lions and other animal, plant and bird species. Continue with an en-route lunch to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community tour
Start your day with breakfast and briefing at the park headquarters. You will enter the impenetrable forests of Bwindi in search of mountain gorillas.
Upon encountering a gorilla family, you will be given one hour to spend in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the evening, visit the Batwa communities for yet another cultural encounter on your15 days Uganda safari. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi tours
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the whole day exploring the islands and the local communities.
The area is a famous birding destination, make the most out of it. Visit the Batwa and Bakiga communities for an extraordinary experience. In the evenning, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo and afternoon game drive
After breakfast, checkout of the lodge and embark on the drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a lunch stopover in Mbarara.
You will have an en-route game drive to the lodge. During this game drive, you will explore the deeper parts of the park as you see animals like Zebras, antelopes, giraffes, leopards, gazelles, to mention but a few. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Morning boat cruise and transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, check out and go to Lake Mburo for a boat cruise. You will enjoy interactions with local fisher men, see birds and animals. Embark on the drive to Kampala via Uganda Equator.
Lunch will be en-route. The driver will drop you at a hotel of your choice in Kampala. He may as well drop you at the Entebbe International flight for an outbound flight. This marks the end of your 12 days Explore Uganda safari.
